Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. Revelation 1:3

A Message from Dr. Mikel Cary
Thank you for visiting Discerning the Times.
The prophetic books of the Bible remain as crucial today as they were for the early church. I firmly believe that God has always intended for believers to understand Bible prophecy, and that this understanding should shape our worldview. In a world filled with uncertainty and rapid change, the timeless truths found in Scripture provide a solid foundation and a clear perspective on the events unfolding around us. It's no coincidence that you feel a connection to this ministry. |
In today's world, so many people are seeking answers to the crises and challenges we face. The pressing questions of our generation are:
The Bible provides answers to these questions. Remarkably, over one-fourth of God's Word is prophecy. These prophecies are not meant to confuse or frighten us but to give us understanding of the things that are coming. However, the devil has long sown confusion and fear about this topic, aiming to keep people in the dark. 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us that God is not the author of confusion, and 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear. Therefore, the confusion and fear surrounding Biblical prophecy are the enemy's work, aiming to prevent people from understanding our times. By studying and understanding prophecy, we can gain insight into God's plan and purpose for our lives and the world. Spreading the gospel message around the world is at the heart of God's mission, and it is our mission too. At Discerning the Times, we are dedicated to sharing the message that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that He is coming again soon. We believe that every believer has a role to play in these prophetic days! We invite you to join us in this journey of faith, as we discern the times and look forward to the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
Bible Prophecy is God, giving us the ability to look beyond the veil of this natural world – so that we can see what is taking place in the spiritual realm AND understand it’s impact on this earth. - Dr. Mikel Cary |
